- 500 gr. of chickpeas
- 1 onion
- ½ spoon tomato paste
- 1 piece cinnam
- Salt and pepper
- Extra Virgin Organic “Bio Green Olive Oil” ἔλαιον (elaeon)
Pick over the chickpeas and soak them overnight. In the morning discard the water, place the chickpeas in a pot with cold water and bring to the boil. Then discard this water and rinse the chickpeas in a colander. Place them back in a pot with cold water and simmer until almost soft. Add chopped onion, tomato paste, the cinnamon, salt and simmer until tender. Add salt to taste. Pour in plenty of Extra Virgin Organic “Bio Green Olive Oil” ἔλαιον (elaeon) and freshly ground pepper.
The dish can be accompanied by olives, green salad and any small fish, e.g. anchovies, sardines, etc.
If you wish, you can add more pepper and more Extra Virgin Organic “Bio Green Olive Oil” ἔλαιον (elaeon).
